Flagship Personal Fitness Software - University - Myself and four other developers built a web-based system for a personal trainer. The PHP/MySQL-based system allows her to book appointments with clients, create and assign meal and fitness plans for clients, and then allows clients to log in, view and cancel their appointments, and view and print the meal and fitness plans they should be following.
Online Bursary and Scholarship System - College - Myself and four other developers built a web-based bursary/scholarship application in ASP.NET for our college. Not only did it replace the college’s paper-based application process, it more than doubled the number of students applying for the awards to over 1200.
Medieval Math - High School - Myself and two other developers built an educational game in Visual Basic 6. It featured music, animation, a variety of math-question wielding enemies, and maze-like levels.
CALMS Library Automation - Elementary School & Canada Wide Science Fair - I wrote a library automation program using QuickBasic, a DOS-based BASIC IDE/compiler. The program used binary random access flat files to store a database of books, patrons, and borrows. The patrons could search books and be told whether the book was available. The librarian could sign books out and back in for patrons, and print out a list of overdue books and the patrons who had them. I received a Silver Medal in the Computer Science division at the Canada Wide Science Fair for the project.
